🫖 Meet Your Baker: Kristen, the Mad Batter Behind the Whisk 🐇

Step into the whimsical world of Mad Batter, LLC, where sugar, spice, and a touch of madness make everything delightfully delicious. I’m Kristen — Medical professional by day, baker by moonlight, animal whisperer, and Queen of Cupcakes in this topsy-turvy kitchen wonderland I call home.

I hail from a quaint little corner of New Jersey — the kind of place where stories begin and dreams start to rise (much like a good sponge cake). At 16, I donned my first uniform as an EMT, following a long line of healers and helpers in my family. But down the rabbit hole I tumbled… right into the land of buttercream dreams and ganache-covered adventures.

What began as a way to unwind from chaotic shifts became something curiouser and curiouser — a full-blown love affair with baking. In 2021, Mad Batter, LLC was born — a home-based bakery built on late-night whisking, tea-party tastings, and the belief that magic does exist… you just have to bake it yourself.

In December 2024, I married my favorite Wonderland character — Kyle, the steadfast constable who stole my heart and now keeps me grounded when things get a bit too bonkers in the kitchen. Together with my endlessly supportive parents, they’ve helped me brave the croquet matches of life, from burnt batches to buttercream victories. Through every twist, turn, and toppled teacake, my family has been the teacup that never wobbles.

Our newly built home is now a cozy cottage straight from the pages of a storybook — and also the heartbeat of Mad Batter itself. Here, in my very own Wonderland, I whisk, pipe, swirl, and sprinkle joy into every order. And when I’m not covered in flour, you’ll find me out in the world with a stethoscope, lending a hand and a heart to those in need.

At Mad Batter, LLC, we believe life should be a little wild, a little weird, and a whole lot sweet. So whether you’re chasing white rabbits or just craving cake, you’re always welcome at our tea party. 🎩✨

We’re all mad here… mad about dessert

👮🏻‍♂️💙 Meet the Other Half of the Mad Batter Mayhem: Kyle! 💙👮🏻‍♂️

You’ve heard of behind-the-scenes heroes… but let me introduce you to mine — Kyle: local police officer, former firefighter, animal whisperer, dishwasher legend, and my favorite human of all time. 💫

Straight from a small town in New Jersey (yes, he’s got that Jersey charm too), Kyle traded fire trucks for police cruisers — and somehow still finds time to be the backbone of Mad Batter, LLC.

When the kitchen is in full Wonderland chaos — cakes cooling, frosting flying, timers ringing like a tea party gone rogue — Kyle is the calm in the cookie storm. He’s the one assembling boxes with surgical precision, scrubbing mixing bowls with superhero strength, and gently reminding me to breathe when I’ve had more espresso than sleep. ☕💥

He doesn’t just help — he believes. In me, in this business, and in every little dream frosted on top of each cake. He’s been there through the early mornings, flour blizzards, and midnight meltdowns (both icing and emotional), and never once blinked an eye.

He’s also an avid animal lover who would absolutely adopt every stray dog if I let him — and honestly, same. 🐾

I married Kyle in December of 2024, but I’ve been lucky to have him as my co-pilot in life and cake long before that. And trust me — every order that leaves the kitchen has a little bit of his heart in the tape on that box, a little bit of his calm in the swirl of chaos, and a whole lot of love we built this business with.

So next time you take a bite of a Mad Batter treat, raise a fork to the guy behind the grin — the protector of peace, puppies, and pastry supplies. 💙

OG Mad Batter Support

❤️ Behind Every Baker Is a Great Set of Parents 💕

Allow me to introduce the heart and soul of the Mad Batter backstage crew: Diane and George, aka Mom and Dad, aka the duo that turns chaos into calm and flour into magic. ✨

Together, they bring over 25 years of EMS service from back in New Jersey — so you could say this baking life was built on a foundation of helping others, fast response times, and excellent triage skills for pie emergencies. 🚑🥧

🏠 Diane is a rockstar realtor by day, but she moonlights as my ultimate assistant baker, box-packer, kitchen motivator, and sanity-preserver. She can negotiate a home sale and smooth out buttercream without breaking a sweat.

🧰 George is a retired mechanical and structural engineer for the PATH system at the Port Authority of NY/NJ… but during the holidays? He trades tools for pie peels and becomes our Master Apple Peeler, cranking out enough prep work to keep the pie parade rolling from sunrise to Santa’s sleigh launch.

🎅🏻 Speaking of sleighs… George also moonlights as SANTA CLAUS during the Christmas season — and let me tell you, he makes a darn good one. The beard is real. The belly is jolly. And the twinkle in his eye? Straight-up North Pole certified. ❄️

Whether it’s helping with deliveries when I’m on EMS shifts, staying up late to box orders, or turning our home into a festive hub of sugar and joy — my parents have been with me through every spoonful of success, every all-nighter, and every “oh no, I forgot the butter.”

I couldn’t do this without them — and honestly? I wouldn’t want to. 🥹❤️

They are my foundation, my cheerleaders, my cleanup crew, and the reason Mad Batter is more than a business — it’s a family-powered wonderland.

So if you’ve ever picked up an order, seen Santa at a holiday market, or had a pie arrive still warm — there’s a good chance Diane and George were behind it, smiling all the way.

✨🎂 Welcome to Wonderland 🎂✨

Mad Batter, LLC is more than a bakery. It’s a family. It’s a calling. It’s a labor of love built on service, sacrifice, late nights, early mornings, and an incredible amount of heart.

Behind every cake, cookie, and pie is a team fully made up of first responders and lifelong helpers — people who serve their communities both in uniform and in the kitchen.

From EMS shifts to police patrols…

From firefighter roots to Santa suits…

From late-night baking marathons to early-morning pickups…

This bakery exists because of love, teamwork, and unwavering support.

To my husband Kyle — my partner in life and in chaos — thank you for being the calm when the kitchen is loud, the steady hand when things feel overwhelming, and the constant reminder that this dream is worth every moment.

To my parents — my foundation, my strength, my biggest cheerleaders — thank you for showing up in every possible way. From deliveries and pickups when duty calls, to late nights in the kitchen, to peeling apples by the bushel and spreading Santa magic during the holidays… I truly could not do this without you.

And to you — our customers, both new and old — thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you for trusting us with your celebrations.

Thank you for supporting a small, home-based bakery.

Thank you for believing in a dream run entirely by first responders who pour their hearts into every single order.

Every time you place an order, you are supporting not just a business — but a family, a passion, and a Wonderland built with purpose.

So whether this is your first visit or your fiftieth…

✨ Welcome to Wonderland. ✨

We’re so glad you’re here. 💛
